Fluoropolymer Lined Code Pressure Vessels
ETFE lined stainless steel vessels are ideal for storing,
dispensing and transporting corrosive, hazardous and high purity
chemicals. RMB containers meet both ASME and D.O.T./U.N. requirements for
shipping and dispensing hazardous materials.
All wetted surfaces are either ETFE or PTFE. No metal
contact with the liquid is possible. ETFE offers higher levels of purity,
excellent chemical resistance, mechanical toughness and high service
temperatures. Lining thickness in excess of 0.125 is much more damage
tolerant than similar vessels coated using electrostatic spray methods.
The linear is permanently bonded to the metal substrate.
 Pressure dispensing is the cleanest method for distributing high
purity chemicals. The smooth interior lining of ETFE allows for easy
cleaning.
RMB vessels offer the benefits of both plastic and metal
construction. The stainless steel outer shell, built to ASME
specifications, insures safety. The fluoropolymer inner lining insures
purity and corrosion resistance. Unlike FRP composite vessels, the metal
outer shell can withstand severe impacts and is not attacked by solvents.

General Properties of ETFE
 Description
ETFE can best be described as a rugged thermoplastic with an
outstanding balance of properties. Mechanically, it is tough, has medium
stiffness (200,000 psi), excellent flex life, impact, cut-through and abrasion
resistance.
Environmental Properties
Environmental behavior refers to the reaction of ETFE when
exposed to chemicals, sunlight, moisture or nuclear radiation.
Chemical Resistance
ETFE has outstanding resistance ot attack by chemicals and
solvents that often cause rapid deterioration of other plastic materials.
ETFE is inert to strong mineral acids, inorganic bases, halogens
and metal salt solutions. Carboxylic acids, anhydrides, aromatic and
aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, ethers, esters,
chlorocarbons and classic polymer solvents have little effect on ETFE.
1/2" FNPT standard tapered pipe threads on top of the
vessel allow for the installation of relief valves, quick connects, gauges and
other attachments. Available in 304 or 316 stainless steel. Standard
finish is a matt bead blasted and passivated surface.
Special fittings and sizes can be custom built to customer
specifications.
