The basic concept of rotomolding is to place an appropriate amount of the desired polymer powder into a mold . The mold is indexed and rotated under heat until the plastic is molten.
The mold is rotated about two perpendicular axis to allow coverage of the plastic to all mold surfaces. This gravitational process relies on plastic tumbling inside a rotating mold to give an even wall
thickness. Once the desired cure time has been satisfied the mold is then taken into a cooling station, followed by a load/unload station where the part is unloaded.
